In 1989, I formed a turtle club that has grown from 6 to 46 members; we now have members that own other kinds of reptiles. I currently own a total of 17 turtles, 6 of them are Box Turtles. Our club has rescued dozens of neglected turtles. These turtles came from situations where the owner had no idea how to care for them.
